‘The Beat Goes On’ | The popular pop-up performance program returns after a pandemic pause
‘Eats & Beats’ event series returns to the residents of East Point with more locations and musicians.
East Point, GA — As the intoxicating sound of sporting events, pop stars, and Pride concerts fill our ears, it would be difficult to deny that Summer 2023 has officially arrived.
Whereas the weather this week certainly wouldn’t be the best indication, it seems that most, if not all, are ready to enjoy a summer season without the overwhelming specter of ‘La Rona’ hovering over us.
Enter ‘Eats & Beats’
The weekly pop-up music event from 2019 is back and better than before.
Initially, the casual, come-as-you-are music performance was only held on Wednesdays during the weekly East Point Farmers Market but now they’ve expanded, and not to mention, softly rebranded as the ‘Eats & Beats @ Main & White Way!’
Co-sponsored by no other than treasured local eatery, Oz Pizza, this series can be enjoyed in their spacious courtyard located right at the corner of Main St. and White Way every Thursday from 6 pm - 8 pm until October.
Now this perfect mid-week gem can be enjoyed twice a week, Wednesdays at the Farmers Market and again at Oz Pizza on Thursdays.
The “Eats & Beats @ White Way” event is free to the public and any resident looking to enjoy some grub while they kick back and enjoy the tunes can purchase food and beverage directly from Oz Pizza or any downtown restaurant of their choice and then simply walk over to the courtyard – Dealer’s Choice.
Parking for “Eats & Beats” is located at the Downtown Commons for either evening and there will be plenty of free parking for all.
This event series is weather permitting, so be sure to follow the City of East Point’s Facebook page for cancellations due to inclement weather.
Musical performances and genres will alternate throughout the season.
